Installation

This window is urethane-bonded. Dry-fit first. Mark and protect the cut edge. Prep and prime per urethane requirements. Apply a continuous urethane bead. Set the window, tape it in place, and allow full cure time. Do not drive until urethane is fully cured.     

Ford Transit Rear Door Installation Overview

Installing the TL215 and TR215 rear cargo door windows requires removing a portion of the inner stamped sheet metal on Ford Transit Medium Roof and High Roof rear cargo doors.

The general process is:

  1. Identify and carefully cut the required inner sheet metal from inside the van.
  2. File and deburr the cut edges to remove sharp or raised areas.
  3. Prime or protect all freshly exposed steel.
  4. Install Trim-Lok edge molding over the finished sheet-metal edge.
  5. Dry-fit the window and verify clearance before applying automotive urethane.
  6. Urethane-bond the window in place and allow the adhesive to fully cure.

Important: Always verify the actual window and vehicle before cutting. The illustrated cut lines in our guide are for visual reference, not an exact cutting template.
