The VWD TR201-SE is a half-slider window designed for the Ford Transit passenger-side sliding door. Solar privacy glass (12% UV) and a built-in bug screen help keep the interior comfortable. A secure latch and urethane-bonded installation finish the installation with a sealed, factory-style look.

Installation

This is a urethane-bonded window. Prep the cutout, dry-fit, clean, prime, and set with automotive glass urethane. Tape and support during cure. Do not drive until the urethane has cured per the urethane manufacturer's specs.

Ford Transit TR201 Installation Overview

Installing the TR201 passenger-side sliding door windows requires removing a portion of the inner stamped sheet metal on Ford Transit Medium Roof and High Roof vans.

This installation overview applies to:

  • TR201-AW – Premium Awning Window
  • TR201-F – Fixed Glass Window
  • TR201-SE – SE-Series Sliding Window

The general process is:

  1. Identify and carefully cut the required inner sheet metal from inside the sliding door.
  2. Pay special attention to the upper front corner where the Transit door has a triangular stamped protrusion.
  3. Cut that upper front corner slightly smaller so the Trim-Lok edge molding and finished trim can fully seat without interference.
  4. File and deburr the cut edges to remove any sharp or raised areas.
  5. Prime or protect all freshly exposed steel.
  6. Install Trim-Lok edge molding over the finished sheet-metal edge.
  7. Dry-fit the window and verify clearance before applying automotive urethane.
  8. Urethane-bond the window in place and allow the adhesive to fully cure.

Important: Always verify the actual window and vehicle before cutting. The illustrated cut lines in our guide are for visual reference, not an exact cutting template.

    Great product, great service

    I bought 2 sliding windows and 2 rear windows for my Transit. Questions quickly answered before ordering, I was able to take advantage of Will Call pick up that was easy and saved money in packing and shipping. Best thing was the 5 minutes of tips I got during pickup... install was straight forward and the result looks great.

    Heavy Duty Window

    I could tell right away this window is really solid. The customer service was awesome. I had a ton of questions and reached out several times by phone and email. Every time, someone was there to help, and the emails were answered super fast, like texting. Definitely recommend. I don’t think we could’ve pulled off the install without their help.
