Installation

This is a urethane bonded window. Prep the cutout, dry-fit, clean, prime, and set with automotive glass urethane. Tape and support during cure. Do not drive until the urethane has cured per the urethane manufacturer specs.

Mercedes Sprinter SL103 Installation Overview

Installing the SL103 driver-side rear quarter windows requires removing a portion of the inner stamped sheet metal on compatible Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans.

This installation overview applies to:

The general process is:

  1. Identify and carefully cut the required inner sheet metal from inside the van when possible.
  2. File and deburr the cut edges to remove any sharp or raised areas.
  3. Prime or protect all freshly exposed steel.
  4. Install Trim-Lok edge molding over the finished sheet-metal edge.
  5. Clean all metal debris from the rear quarter cavity.
  6. Dry-fit the actual SL103 window and verify clearance before applying automotive urethane.
  7. Urethane-bond the window in place and allow the adhesive to fully cure.
