At Van Windows Direct, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell and are committed to supporting our customers. However, it is important to understand that warranty coverage is limited to the product itself and is governed by the manufacturer’s specific terms. We act as a facilitator for warranty claims and strive to make the process as seamless as possible within those parameters.
Scope of Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage applies exclusively to manufacturing defects in the product. It does not include:

Labor costs for removal, reinstallation, or repairs

Vehicle downtime or lost use of the vehicle

Travel expenses, shop fees, or third-party service charges

Any incidental or consequential damages
This means that warranty replacements may involve additional costs if you are unable to perform the repair or replacement yourself. These costs are not reimbursable under warranty.

How to Request Warranty Service
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

Take clear photos and/or videos that accurately show the issue.

Email the media along with a detailed description and current shipping address along with your Order Number to:

Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
Van Windows Direct (VWD) – 1-Year Limited Warranty
Covered:

Manufacturing defects in glass (haze, delamination, bubbles)

Broken latch/knob
-
Seal failure (where applicable)

Improper seal on sliding glass

Verified fitment issues (installation by VWD Certified Installer only)
Not Covered:
-
Glass breakage (except damage reported at delivery)
-
Screen tears (except damage reported at delivery)
-
Cosmetic blemishes after installation (scratches, chips, imperfections)
AMA (AM Auto) – 6-Month Limited Warranty
Covered:
-
Manufacturing defects in glass
-
Broken latch/knob
-
Seal failure (where applicable)
-
Improper seal on sliding glass

Verified fitment issues (installation by AMA Certified Installer only)
Not Covered:
-
Glass breakage (except damage reported at delivery)
-
Screen tears (except damage reported at delivery)

Cosmetic blemishes after installation
CRL (C.R. Laurence) – 30-Day Limited Warranty
Covered:
-
Glass defects (haze, bubbles)
-
Broken latch/knob
-
Defective torsion bar, gearbox, or seal (where applicable)

Improper seal on vent glass

Excessive butyl/urethane impeding installation
-
Fitment issues (CRL Certified Installer only)
Not Covered:
-
Glass breakage (except damage reported at delivery)

Screen tears (except damage reported at delivery)

Cosmetic blemishes (scratches, chips, coating wear)

Glass protrusion from body stamping (if not installed by CRL Certified Installer)

Excessive butyl/urethane not affecting installation
Important Notes on Warranty Limitations

Cosmetic damage is not warrantable once the window is installed. Please inspect all items prior to installation.

We only facilitate warranty claims for VWD-branded products. Warranty claims for AMA, CRL, or other brands must be submitted to their respective manufacturers.

Warranty period is based on the original purchase date. Replacements issued under warranty do not reset or extend the coverage period.

Claims submitted after the warranty period expires will not be considered.
