Installation

Clamp ring installation compresses the exterior seal against the van wall. Mark and cut your opening per the supplied template. Dry-fit first. Install the window, then tighten clamp ring fasteners in a gradual, even pattern to keep seal compression consistent.

    Ford Transit Midroof Installation

    Installation went well for the most part. Followed others advice with establishing location on the inside first. Drill 2 holes. Move template to the outside. Installed on rear passenger side. A couple of things to look out for. The trim ring/clamp may be slightly out of spec. Ours was stretched out a bit in middle. Just be careful when drilling your pilot holes for the screws. Make sure they line up with the window channel. As far as screw tensioning, I did it by hand, no drills. Take your time. Lightly tightened the first round, gradually increasing the torque for a few rounds until it feels fairly snug. The gasket on ours ended up fairly even all the way around the window. Check for leaks. Lightly lube crank mechanism. Nice window.

    VWD AW331O awning bunk

    Shipping took longer than expected, but the VWD representative was very helpful. A couple of the clamp ring's factory holes were a little misaligned with the frames screw channel but was easily corrected with a little massaging with a drill bit. The foam seal worked great. The windows function and look great. Quality product. Very pleased!

    VWD AW3310 Awning Van Bunk Window

    Great looking window. Very pleased with how quickly I received the window once the order was placed after hearing horror stories from others about how long they waited for windows from other companies. I just recently received them, do have not installed them yet. I have unpacked them, and they look great. Excited to install them as soon as it stops raining.

    Poor casting quality

    I experienced significant hassle while trying to install these windows. The casting of the window frame was out of spec and caused the trim/screw ring to not seat properly. I experienced this with 2 windows (Driver and passenger side). I’m overall unimpressed with the manufacturing quality of these windows

    VWD AW3310 AWNING VAN BUNK WINDOW

    I really like these windows! Exactly what I needed to have cross ventilation in my 2023 Ram Promaster 1500 High Roof Cargo Van. I had them installed high enough so no one could look directly inside.
