Returns Policy
At Van Windows Direct, we strive for your complete satisfaction. However, if you need to return an item, please note that our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. Unfortunately, if 30 days have passed since your purchase, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange.
Please be aware that return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. We strongly encourage you to contact us prior to ordering to help minimize the need for returns. Some windows may cost up to $200 each way to ship, resulting in potential return shipping costs of up to $400. Our goal is to avoid unnecessary expenses for you and ensure a smooth transaction.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition in which you received it. This applies to all return types, including warranty claims, defective products, and standard returns.
Returns for Pickup Orders
If you purchased a window with the pickup option and need to return it for reasons such as ordering the wrong item, unmet expectations, a warranty issue, or receiving an incorrect item, the buyer is responsible for arranging and covering the return shipping costs. We offer the option of a refund, credit, or exchange once the returned item is received.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Clearance Items
- CRL Replacement Parts
- Gift Cards
Restocking Fees
- Van Windows Direct (VWD): No restocking fee for returns exchanged for online account credit. A 15% restocking fee applies to refunds.
- AM Auto: 25% restocking fee on all returns.
- CRL: No restocking fee for returns exchanged for online account credit. A 15% restocking fee applies to refunds.
Return Process
To complete your return, you will need your order number. Please do not return your purchase without first contacting us for return instructions and an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Any item returned without an RMA number is subject to a 10% return processing fee.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel an order, please call us at 858-800-4795 with your order number to request cancellation. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, cancellations are not guaranteed. If the item has already shipped or is packed for shipment, we may not be able to cancel the order. In such cases, a redirection fee may apply. Please note that cancellation requests sent via email are not guaranteed, regardless of when the email was sent.
