OVR3009 Bunk Half Slider Window Cover – VWD Custom Fit Privacy & Insulation Cover (COVEROVR3009)
Glass is the weakest thermal barrier in a camper van. During the day it allows solar heat inside, and at night it releases interior warmth outward. The VWD COVEROVR3009 window cover is designed specifically for the OVR3009 bunk half-slider window to control light, privacy, and temperature without permanent modifications.
Install the cover while parked or sleeping to create darkness and insulation. Remove it instantly whenever you want ventilation from the bunk window.
What This Window Cover Solves
- Blocks outside visibility
- Stops early morning sunlight
- Reduces solar heat gain
- Reduces nighttime heat loss
- Improves stealth camping
The cover uses automotive-grade insulation to regulate interior temperature in both hot and cold conditions.
Custom Fit for OVR3009 Window
- Designed specifically for OVR3009 bunk half-slider window
- Cleaner fit than universal reflective covers
- Helps eliminate perimeter light leaks
- Fast installation and removal
Generic cut-to-fit insulation rarely seals evenly. A window-specific cover seals tighter and looks cleaner inside the van.
Total Darkness for Sleeping
- Blocks headlights and street lighting
- Improves sleep quality
- Maintains privacy with interior lights on
The 100% light-blocking design allows discreet camping in both urban and remote locations.
Temperature Control
Hot Weather
- Reflects radiant heat entering the glass
- Keeps bunk areas cooler
- Improves fan and AC efficiency
Cold Weather
- Reduces radiant heat loss
- Keeps interior warmer
- Improves heater efficiency
Insulating the window stabilizes interior temperature because glass transfers heat faster than insulated wall panels.
Magnetic Mount System
- Strong integrated magnets
- Adhesive metal mounting tabs install once
- No drilling required
- Quick daily installation
Magnets align with mounting tabs to hold the cover securely in place while still allowing instant removal.
Beauty Ring Fitment Note
When used with a VWD Interior Trim Beauty Ring, the snug opening allows the cover to tuck into the window frame. In most installs the cover remains secure without needing the magnetic mounts.
Best Use Cases
- Sleeping privacy
- Stealth camping
- Winter insulation
- Summer sun blocking
- Urban overnight parking
