Sikaflex P2G Urethane (Included)

Sikaflex P2G is a primer-less to glass, one-component, cold-applied, quick-curing, high-viscosity polyurethane adhesive designed for direct-glazed automotive glass replacement. It is engineered to OEM-strength expectations and exceeds FMVSS 212/208.

Primer Guidance for Side Windows

This urethane can be used primer-less on windshields. For side windows, primer is recommended because they are vertical and helps create a quicker bond to the van wall for safer installation. 

Single Application Primer (Included)

Single Application Primer acts as the base layer on your van wall to help ensure proper urethane adhesion. It is a solvent-based black primer that reacts with moisture and forms a thin linking layer between substrates and adhesives. It fluoresces under long-wave UV light for a limited period for in-process control.

Pro Tool Tip

A standard caulking gun will not suffice for automotive urethane. Use a 26:1 ratio caulk gun for better control and a more professional installation. 

Technical Specifications

How to Use

1. Prep the bond surfaces so they are clean, dry, and free of dust, oils, and loose paint.
2. Apply primer to the van wall bond face per your system instructions. Allow to flash.
3. Cut the urethane nozzle to the desired bead size. Apply a continuous bead.
4. Set the window, align, and tape in place.
5. Minimum safe drive-away time is 6 hours. Leave the window taped for at least 24 hours.
