The CRL Model Number FW623R Dual-Vent Window is a third-party aftermarket solution designed specifically for the Sprinter Van 170/170EXT. CRL (CR Laurence) continues to use its classic Clamp Ring installation method, originally developed in the 1970s. The factory urethane-bonded aluminum frame ensures a secure fit and durable structure.
This Dual-Vent window opens up to 45 degrees, allowing for excellent airflow while maintaining a sleek, classic design. The pre-applied EPDM rubber seal compresses against the van’s outer wall, creating a weather-tight barrier that protects against moisture and air entry. The vent glass also features a rubber seal for secure closure, though minimal water entry may occur under high-pressure washing conditions.
The fiberglass mesh screen, framed in powder-coated aluminum, clips easily into place for simple removal and cleaning. The gearbox and torsion bar system ensures smooth operation of the vent glass, allowing for effortless opening and closing with the T-Handle. The window is securely mounted using the interior Clamp Ring, sandwiching the van’s sheet metal between the rubber seal and the aluminum frame on the exterior and the clamp ring on the interior.
