The CRL Model Number FW398L Dual-Vent Window is a third-party aftermarket option specifically designed for the RAM ProMaster Van. CRL (CR Laurence) has maintained its classic Clamp Ring installation method, which was developed in the 1970s. This method uses a factory urethane-bonded aluminum frame as the core structure of the window, ensuring a secure fit.
The Dual-Vent design allows the window to open up to 45 degrees for optimal airflow, while rubber seals around the vent glass help keep moisture and air out when closed. For added convenience, the fiberglass mesh screen, attached to a powder-coated aluminum frame, clips easily into the vent opening and can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.
The gearbox and torsion bar system control the smooth tilting of the vent glass, providing effortless operation. The clamp ring installation securely fastens the window from the inside, sandwiching the van’s sheet metal between the rubber seal and the aluminum frame on the outside, and the clamp ring on the inside.
