It is a great tool to have ready before the job begins, especially when placement takes a little extra attention.

Use the adjustable clamps for temporary positioning and gentle holding pressure on suitable smooth, non-porous surfaces. The purple bridge, black suction cup, threaded adjustment and padded feet work together to help stabilize the installation while you concentrate on the finished fit.

Extra Help with Dual-Curve Window Placement

Dual-curve glass can add challenges where the shape of the window meets the van body. This can occur with dual-curve windows across brands and vehicle platforms. These clamps can make small positioning challenges quicker and easier to manage, helping maintain the intended placement during curing.

Dry-fit first. Use body lines, neighboring windows and reference marks to check placement; inspect from several angles. Maintain the specified adhesive gap with the appropriate spacers. Apply only gentle pressure: never force glass into a contour or compress the adhesive bed excessively.

Using the Clamps

1. Clean the suction cup, foot pads and contact area. Choose a smooth, non-porous location where the cup can seal fully.
2. Seat the suction cup itself first and press out trapped air. Engage its locking mechanism as applicable to the tool.
3. With the cup secured, seat the padded bridge feet and gradually adjust the threaded screw and wing nut. Do not try to attach the tool by pressing the entire assembled clamp down at once.
4. Check the seal, contact points, window position and adhesive spacing. If a surface is too curved to seal, choose another suitable contact location.
5. Follow the window and adhesive manufacturers' instructions for support, cure conditions and removal timing.

Position with care. These are temporary positioning clamps, not rated glass lifting handles. Do not overtighten or use them to correct an incorrect opening or unsuitable fit. Proper preparation, adhesive application and cure time remain essential.
