While universal windows can technically be installed on any van, they don’t always fit perfectly. The best practice is to install them in a single sheet metal section of the van wall to avoid issues like wall buckling or improper sealing due to curvature differences.
To ensure a smoother installation, attach the window trim ring slowly, securing it a few threads at a time to prevent forcing the window into place. You may also need to replace the original closed-cell foam with larger open-cell foam to better accommodate curvature differences.
