CRL and VWD offer different window designs and applications for van builds. A useful comparison starts with the exact models that fit your vehicle, rather than a brand-wide winner.
Compare panel layout, operating hardware, screen and shade arrangements, installation requirements and replacement-part support. Use current specifications and warranty terms for the particular products.
Compare the exact models
Start with windows for the same intended opening or body position. Record outside dimensions, required cutout, wall requirements and the installation method for each one. A similar name or nominal size does not establish interchangeability.
Compare the moving panels, operating hardware, insect screen and any privacy shade. Check whether those components are included with the specific product rather than assigning the same features to an entire brand.
Plan installation and future service
Review the manufacturer instructions for the glass or frame, sealing system and mounting components. Decide how the window meets the interior finish and how you will access controls and replace service parts.
Read the current warranty and parts information for the selected model. Older warranty durations, price comparisons and broad claims of superior strength or UV performance are not used here as current specifications.
Choose for the way the space will be used
Compare the amount and placement of the opening with the bed, seating or kitchen. Fixed glass, sliders and awning panes have different clearance and ventilation tradeoffs.
For a replacement, verify the existing opening and mounting arrangement before removing the old unit. For a new cutout, have the exact product and its instructions available first.
