When replacing Windows the absolute best measurements to take are the hole size measurements. Though this is the most difficult it insure that you get the correct window that will work for you. The reason to take the cut hole measurement is over the last 3 decades there have been numerous manufactures of Van Windows that have come and gone, many making their own sizes. Some used thin frames while others used thick frames. That's what throw off out side measurements. If there is a 1/2" difference in the thickness of the frame that will be a full 1" difference in the size of the window. So when you go by the hole size there is no discrepancy.
